Anti-Histamine (Chlorphenamine) 2mg/5ml Oral Solution is used for fast relief of symptoms of all allergic conditions, including hay fever, skin allergies, food allergies, pet allergies, house dust mite allergies, insect bites, mould spore allergies. Also relieves the itchy rash of chickenpox. Sugar free and Colour free.

Chlorphenamine is contra-indicated in patients who are hypersensitive to antihistamines or to any of the tablet ingredients.

The anticholinergic properties of chlorphenamine are intensified by monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). Chlorphenamine is therefore contra-indicated in patients who have been treated with MAOIs within the last fourteen days.
Chlorphenamine, in common with other drugs having anticholinergic effects, should be used with caution in epilepsy; raised intra-ocular pressure including glaucoma; prostatic hypertrophy; severe hypertension or cardiovascular disease; bronchitis, bronchiectasis and asthma; hepatic disease and thyrotoxicosis. Children and the elderly are more likely to experience the neurological anticholinergic effects.

The effects of alcohol may be increased.
There is inadequate evidence of safety in human pregnancy. Only use under doctor supervision.

The use of Chlorphenamine preparations in mother's breast feeding their babies requires that the therapeutic benefits of the drug should be weighed against the potential hazards to the mother and baby. Only under supervision of doctor.
