Corsodyl Daily Defence FreshMint Mouthwash 500ml

Use Corsodyl daily defence mouthwash alongside toothbrushing and flossing. It contains an antibacterial ingredient and is clinically proven to more effectively reduce plaque than brushing alone. For adults and children over 6 years. Bacteria can cause plaque build up which is a major cause of gum disease and cavities. The best way to help protect teeth and gums is to have a good oral hygiene routine.

• Up to 12 hour action against bacteria.
• With fluoride to strengthen teeth and to prevent cavities.
• Helps reduce bad breath causing bacteria.
• Cares for the gums.

Rinse the mouth for 30 seconds with 10ml (see mark on dosing cap) once or twice daily after cleaning the teeth.

Do not swallow and do not rinse with water.

Taste: Transient disturbance of taste sensation and a burning sensation of the tongue may occur on initial use of the mouthwash. These effects usually diminish with continued use.

Oral desquamation: In cases where oral desquamation occurs dilution of the mouthwash with an equal volume of tap water, freshly mixed, will often allow continued use of the mouthwash.

Parotid gland swelling: Very occasionally, swelling of the parotid glands during the use of chlorhexidine mouthrinses has been reported. In all cases spontaneous resolution has occurred on discontinuing treatment.

Irritative skin reactions: Irritative skin reactions to chlorhexidine preparations can occasionally occur.

Generalised reactions: Allergic reactions, hypersensitivity & anaphylaxis to chlorhexidine have also been reported but are extremely rare.

Not suitable for children under 6 years.

Store safely away from children.

Corsodyl is contraindicated for patients who have previously shown a hypersensitivity reaction to chlorhexidine. However, such reactions are extremely rare.
For oral (external) use only - keep out of the eyes and ears.

If the mouthwash comes into contact with the eyes, wash out promptly and thoroughly with water.

Store below 25°C.
