Product Details

Dermol 200 Shower Emollient is formulated for use on dry or problem skin to help treat and prevent the dryness and itching (pruritus) which are common features of skin complaints like eczema and dermatitis. It is designed for use as an emollient soap substitute in the shower. This is advantageous because ordinary toiletry soaps can make dry skin worse by removing its natural oils. The emollients form a barrier within the skin surface, trapping the moisture in deeper layers of skin and reducing drying. The antimicrobial ingredients combat the aggravating bacteria already present on the skin which make certain types of eczema/dermatitis worse.

Dermol 200 Shower Emollient is designed for direct application to the skin.

Dry skin conditions like eczema and dermatitis are notoriously itchy, and can be quite sore. Although scratching relieves the itching for a short while, it also damages the skin. Badly scratched skin easily gets infected, which makes it more itchy and the urge to scratch becomes even greater. Clearly, it is better if scratching is avoided, even though many people, especially children, find this very difficult.

Warnings

Dermol 200 Shower Emollient is NOT to be used by patients who are sensitive to any of its ingredients.

CAUTION: TAKE CARE TO AVOID SLIPPING IN THE SHOWER OR BATH.

Store in a safe place where children cannot see or reach it.
