Dioctyl 100mg Capsules 100

Dioctyl 100mg capsules 100 pack. For the treatment of constipation. Softens the motions to produce a gentle movement. Can also be used to prevent constipation.

Adults and children over 12 years old and elderly - Up to five capsules daily in divided doses. The capsule should be swallowed whole with a glass of water.

These capsules are yellow and white soft gelatin capsules containing 100 mg of the active ingredient docusate sodium.

This medicine does not usually cause side-effects, but very rarely you may have diarrhoea, feel sick, have stomach cramps or have a skin rash. If you have any side- effects which continue for more than a few days or become troublesome, see your doctor.

 

If you can answer yes to any of these questions, do not take the medicine. Instead, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

Are you pregnant or thinking of becoming pregnant?
Are you breastfeeding a baby?
Are you suffering from stomach pains?
Are you feeling sick, or have you been sick in the last 24 hours?
Are you allergic to these capsules or any of the ingredients, such as sunset yellow (E110)?
Are you taking mineral oil?
Are you intolerant to small amounts of sugar?
Are you already taking a laxative?
If you need to take a laxative every day, or if you have regular or constant stomach ache, see your doctor.

This medicine should not be given to children under 12 years of age.

Do not use this medicine after the expiry date shown on the label.
Keep this medicine in a safe place, out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not store above 25°C. Store in original package in order to protect from moisture.
Always return any left over medicine to a pharmacist.
