Nurofen Plus Tablets 32

Dual action Nurofen Plus tablets 32 pack works both at the site of pain and also reduces the body's response to pain signals. Its formulation combines the active ingredients of Nurofen with Codeine at the maximum dose allowed without a prescription. For short term relief of acute moderate pain that does not respond to paracetamol, ibuprofen or aspirin alone.

You should not take Nurofen caplets if you:

• Have or have ever had a stomach ulcer, perforation or bleeding Have breathing difficulties
• Are allergic to ibuprofen, to any of the ingredients, or to aspirin or other painkillers
• Suffer from severe liver, kidney or heart problems; Suffer from chronic constipation
• Are taking other NSAIDs pain killers or aspirin with a daily dose above 75 mg. If you are on low-dose aspirin (up to 75 mg daily) speak to your doctor or pharmacist before you take the medicine
• Are in the last 3 months of pregnancy.

Ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking Nurofen caplets if:

• You have asthma or have suffered from asthma;
• You have kidney, heart, liver or bowel problems;
• You have low blood pressure;
• You suffer from a thyroid disorder;
• You have Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) - a condition to the immune system affecting connective tissue resulting in joint pains, skin changes and disorder of other organs;
• You are taking any regular medication especially: if you are on low dose aspirin (up to 75mg daily), medicines for thinning the blood, medicines for high blood pressure and water tablets, corticosteroids, Methotrexate, lithium or Monoamine oxidase inhibitors or have taken them within the last 14 days, Zidovudine;
• You are In the first 6 months of preqnancy or breast-feeding.

May cause drowsiness - if affected do not drive or operate machinery. Avoid alcoholic drinks.

For short term use only. If you need to use this medicine for more than three days at a time, see your doctor, pharmacist. Taking codeine regularly for more than 3 days may lead to addiction. This might cause you to feel restless and irritable when you stop the tablets.

Taking any painkiller for headaches too often or for too long can make the headaches worse.
