For Private prescriptions simply pay online for the quantity your practitioner has printed on the prescription and post the prescription to our FREEPOST address.

Totalpharmacy have teamed up with PharmaDoctor who can supply a private prescription through an online consultation. We will still supply your medication at our great prices but it saves you the time, energy and possible embarrassment.

It is a requirement of the Medicines Act that we are in possession of the original prescription signed by a UK registered medical practitioner (not a faxed copy or scanned document).

Private prescriptions are non NHS prescriptions. (They are usually printed on white paper rather than the NHS green. Malaria prevention medication is usually prescribed on private prescriptions)

If you need help or we do not list your item then CONTACT US. We will still be able to supply it.

Example: If your practitioner has written a prescription for 17 Malarone tablets then go to the product Malarone and purchase 17 tablets. Post the prescription to us. We will despatch the goods on the same day we receive the prescription.

Please note : We cannot accept responsibility for lost or late prescriptions. Please allow plenty of time to cover the unexpected. Although problems are uncommon, private prescriptions are usually of high value.

If your deadline is urgent then let us know so we can add extra urgency. We have a Royal Mail SPECIAL DELIVERY option which offers a guaranteed delivery by 1pm next day and much better insurance protection. We strongly recommend this option for all prescription orders over £39 in value.

Medicines we cannot supply

Unfortunately for security reasons, we are unable to supply any Controlled Drug as defined by the Misuse of Drugs Act.

We are also unable to supply any medicine requiring refrigeration as it is not possible to maintain these items at the required storage temperature whilst in transit.
