Viagra (Sildenafil) 50mg Tablets (UK Sourced)

Viagra (Sildenafil) 50mg tablets is a treatment for men with erectile dysfunction in the UK. Erectile dysfunction is when a man cannot get, or keep a hard, erect penis suitable for sexual activity.

The usual dose of Viagra is 50 mg as a single dose. Swallow the tablet whole with some water. 

The amount of time Viagra takes to work varies from person to person, but it would normally take between half an hour and one hour. You may find that Viagra takes longer to work if you take it with a heavy meal. 

You should therefore take Viagra about one hour before sexual activity.

Viagra will only help you to get an erection if you are sexually stimulated. 

Drinking alcohol can temporarily hamper the ability to get an erection. To get the maximum benefit from Viagra try not to drink large amounts of alcohol before taking it.

You should not use Viagra more than once a day.

Contact your doctor if you take more tablets than you should.

Viagra film coated tablets are coloured blue, with a rounded-diamond shape. They are marked with the word -PFIZER on one side and - VGR 50 on the other side. The tablets are provided in blister packs containing 4 or 8 in the UK packs.

The most common side effects were:

• headache or facial flushing

and less commonly:

• indigestion, dizziness, blocked up nose, pounding heartbeat, effects on vision (including colour tinge to vision, increased brightness of light or blurred vision).

If you have such an erection which lasts continuously for more than 4 hours, you should contact a doctor immediately.

If any of the side effects get serious please tell your doctor.

Do not take Viagra:

* If you are taking medicines containing nitrates. These medicines are often given for relief of angina pectoris (chest pain). Viagra can cause a serious increase in the effects of these medicines. Tell your doctor if you are taking any of these medicines. If you are not certain, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
* If you are allergic to Sildenafil or any of the other ingredients of Viagra.
* If you have a heart or liver problem.
* If you have recently had a stroke or a heart attack, or if you have low blood pressure.

* if you experience sudden decrease or loss of vision, stop taking Viagra and contact your doctor immediately.

Using other medicines:

Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken other medicines, including medicines obtained without prescription.

Viagra tablets may interfere with some medicines, especially those used to treat chest pain. In the event of a medical emergency, you should tell anyone treating your condition that you have taken Viagra. Do not take Viagra with other medicines unless your doctor tells you that you can.

Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

Medicines should not be disposed of down the sink, toilet or in household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the UK environment.
